Located a stone's throw from the beaches of the famous seaside resort of Juan les Pins, this large 2-bedroom apartment required a complete renovation.
The challenge
Having remained in its appearance from the era, this apartment required a major rearrangement work in order to recover many m² lost in circulation and poorly exploited surfaces.
Our solution
From the entrance of the apartment, we completely opened the space to the living room, thus allowing us to offer an open and airy space of more than 40 m². This gain in m² was achieved thanks to 3 main actions: the removal of a large entrance corridor, the removal of a large closed storage room, the opening of the kitchen to the living room. Thanks to the optimization of the plan, we were able to reduce the size of circulation in the apartment from 12m² to only 2m².
In the master bedroom, which was a good size of 18m², we created a real double dressing room, oriented towards the interior of the room to give this beautiful impression of depth and reflect the natural light from the window. With its lime-painted headboard, we wanted a soft and soothing spirit that smelled of vacation.
On the side of the second bedroom, we reworked the plan in such a way as to be able to transform a little-used guest WC into a real bathroom with bathtub. The annexation of a piece of corridor as well as a cupboard made it possible to create a real suite.
This apartment being intended for resale, the decoration had to be as soft and pleasant as possible, for the greatest number. The use of light and soft tones, as well as natural materials such as zellige, wood or rattan allowed to respect this request, while keeping a beautiful seaside spirit.
